Jamaica Man ✌🏽

This was the first port of our cruising adventures!

NOTE THIS ONE MAY BE A LITTLE BORING I DID NOT TAKE MY PHONE DOWN AT THIS LOCATION BECAUSE I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO BE SWIMMING A LOT AND DID NOT WANT TO START OFF MY VACATION WITH MY PHONE BEING LOST. DON’T WORRY ILL GET PICTURES FEOM THE OTHERS AND POST SOME ☺️

Excited for the day I started off my morning with a good breakfast as usual.

Upon docking we got hit with a rainstorm. Some maybe think of this as a negative but as someone who loves the rain, I seen it as a beauty.

 Note : Sunscreen!

One note I wish I would have thought of during, I put a bunch of sun screen on! Even though it was raining it would have patches of beautiful blue skies! The downfall of putting a bunch of sunscreen on your face is, when it rains it gets into your eyes so, Caution!

My friends all were able to purchase poncho from the cruise before exiting off, but I wanted the FULL experience of Jamaica. So 30 seconds being off the boat I was fully soaked!

Again I didn’t mind, except I couldn’t see what was right in front of me for a bit. Once I got past the burning of the eyes and was able to see again. Pure beauty! I was ready to jump into the water that instant! Upon docking, there are many locals selling hand crafted items. But we were ready for some adventure! We already had arrangements with a driver and once we were able to meet up we were on our way! Quick and easy!

When we were traveling, it definitely feels like you’ve been transported to a jungle!! That is what Jamaica is, a beautiful lush jungle!!

Hard to find flaws with Jamaica, but I can tell you one.

Coming from a person with arachnophobia, or a person who scared of spiders. Believe me when I say the spiders were huge! The locals found it quite funny every time I would jump and freak out about them. I tried to laugh it off to you but deep down inside I was about to pee my pants every time I seen one!

Our party ventured to Mystical Mountain, where you have many options such as the famous bobsledding, zip-lining, your able to enjoy their infinity pool witch has a beautiful look out of Jamaica. Would definitely recommend especially if your time in Jamaica is limited. Visit their gift shop. They have beautiful music playing all the time and they will show you some of their moves which they have many of! Make sure you use the bathroom before stepping on the chairlift to the top with about a 20 minute ride to the top. Where you’re able to relax and enjoy the magnificent views of the jungle and Jamaica its self. At times the rain started up, so we just sat there and enjoyed the light rain it added to the adventure.

Upon arriving at the top and after looking around for a bit, we got in line to get on the bobsled! This fast moving rollercoaster was so exciting! Your able to control your speed while on, by pressing the breaks but I would suggest to just go full speed! There are parts during when it will let you know when too slow down for turns and what not. I never was able to see the car infant of me so I wasn’t worried about crashing. So caution about that. But while riding through the jungle I just went full speed and yelled as loud as I could!

While back at the main court yard, waiting for the others to do adventure on the zip-line, Savauna and I were asked if we liked trying new things. We jumped on that and said yes. Pulled to the side we got to be one of the first ones to try out a new exhibit there were putting together! They strapped us in and we got to adventure through this obstacle course like structure. Once the crew got it all dry for us! Talk about putting your fears to the test. I’m not one to really be up in the air for no reason, but Savauna showed no fear so I was able to follow her lead. The instructor showed us how to do it and showed us different ways to run through the obstacle course. And since you are strapped in if you fall off, the ropes would catch you. Loads of fun! Sadly it did start raining again so we had to cut our rope adventures short. And since the rain didn’t let up the others weren’t able to go zip lining as well, sadly.

Still waiting to try the locals food we headed down from mystical mountain and met back up with our driver and off we were. He took us to the best spot on the island for Ox tails and other traditional meals. Since I don’t eat most meats I passed. The others said it was really good though. I also usually don’t recommend drinking waters that your body is not adapted to as well so they mostly drank Coke. After a quick bite to eat we went shopping at a near by shop, were we were able to pick up some souvenirs and other things then back to the ship for us. We cut it a little bit close with time getting back to the boat and were scared they’d take off without us. We’ve all seen those kind video were the boat is leaving the passengers! We didn’t want that to happen to us so we booked it back. Took a couple picture with our new friend and ran! Thankfully there were many who still need to board the boat so it took a while to get back on. So we made it! Just standing in the rain waiting to get back on, our group were already talking about how amazing the day has been and how there was only are to come! Being only day 3 of our adventures!
