Cayman Islands

Believe me when I say this water was clear! Cayman Islands being the second stop on our cruise. We didn’t wake up as early this day, due to all the fun we’ve been having and we learned from the previous day that it took a while to get off the cruise ship, so we took it a bit easier today. We gathered our group together to exit off the boat together but we then part and went separate ways. Somehow tho we all ended up at the same beach in the end though so that was quite surprising. 

Since we were just taking it easy today the group I was with decided to just go swimming. Which didn’t disappoint. I’d also recommend putting sunscreen on when your on the boat so when you arrive at your destination you can get right to the action

Beautiful clear waters right when we arrived even from getting off the boat we wanted to jump in. Someone didn’t believe in their swimming skills to make it to the shore from our boat. I don’t blame them, it was quit a far swim. But these waters made it so hard to leave at the end of the day.

Boats don’t look that far. I feel I could have made it to the shore. Maybe. I’m not the best swimmer so I suppose taking the boat to the shore was probably for the best.

Once landing on shore we took a short bus ride to the Seven mile beach. Upon arriving at a portion of the beach, you had to rent beach chairs. 20 dollars. I along with my awesome partner in crime were going to spend most of our time in the water didn’t rent one, but some of our friends did so we were able to leave our belongings with them.

But after placing our items down it didn’t take long to get right in the water was a bit coldish nothing like back home though. It took very little time to adjust to the water and the day was just perfect. The beach as a bit crowded but most of the people didn’t swim out very far. Grisi (one of my best friends and the more adventurous one of us two) and I were about to go on some adventures by our selfs once we placed the people. At some point we found the anchor for the buoy and where trying to see if we could pull up the end. It got pretty heavy after a while.  Everyone was very friendly whether it be the tourist as well or the workers around us. We were all just enjoying the same beautiful day together. 

 I Didn’t get hungry I usual started off my day with a good breakfast on the boat but I brought my water along with me and some snacks as well.

At some point swimming closer to the shore, there were little schools of fish. And some larger fish that for some reason wanted to be my best friend. At some point I may have freaked out a bit but it made for a good laugh for everyone.

Sadly I didn’t take many pictures here I just tried to enjoy the moment with friends. And like I said somehow our whole group ended up at this same spot of the beach. Which was awesome! We all rode the bus back to dock and we were on our was back to our floating home for the evening. Definitely ready to eat!
